No, it's handheld. You use the top of the press(without a die) for leverage. I ordered one, so maybe I'll be able to report back soon. I hope it's better than the hammer.

If you ever get a collet type that uses the press you'll never look back.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Does it damage the bullet?

Not if used correctly. I have always heard good things about the Hornady Cam lock. It requires different collets, but heard its a good one.

Looking at the Grip-N-pull I have to ask, why can't you just use a padded set of pliers or vice grips?

But who prays for Satan? Who, in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most?

That's the one that I have and I've never damaged a bullet with it. I've pulled some .308 and 45-70 projectiles.

Well, it came in the mail today. I pulled a few bullets with it including 270 Win, 30-06, and 7 SAUM. Since it requires no setup, it went really fast. It may not be the best out there, but it's 1000 times better than the hammer.

The hammer always scared me when I used it.

My deal with the hammer is that it's slow and loud.

The rcbs collet is one of the best to buy, don't waste your money or time on impact pullers, trust me I been down that road

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.
