Bows seem to depreciate faster than just about anything...once you figure out what you want, check out the Archery Talk classifieds and you may find a good deal on a gently used one. Seems like a lot of those guys buy new bows every couple of years just for the sake of having a new bow.

I bought my latest bow in the classifieds here. It's a few years old but I like it and got in a nice bow for less than a third of a new one. I'm southpaw too.

I got the itch for a new(newer) rig... First off I am left handed, which makes things a little more difficult. I am trying to decide whether it is worth it to buy a new bow or buy a year or two old model since the price falls considerably. I am not an everyday shooter but I do enjoy shooting and hunt through the entire season with a bow periodically. Oh and I haven't bought a bow in 12 years... What are y'alls opinions on this?
Also, I have been a Mathews shooter for the past 15+ years, but I am open to make a switch to another quality brand. I am looking for quiet number one. It's really what you want and what you can afford. I bought a bow second-hand in 2004 at a great price. Shot it up until now. I bought a 2016 brand new because I didn't want someone elses hands on it.

So, I didn't let the grass grow... I bought a 2014 Elite E32 tonight for a smoking deal(at least I think so) on AT. We'll see when she gets here. Reviews have been solid on the Elites and the transferred warranty is awesome. Looking forward to a new to me rig! congrats man!

I bought my E32 from there. Upgrading a 12 year old bow, you will be blown away. Congrats
