I bought a 10xd last year (obviously not for creeks). Nephew said "What are you going to throw it on?" He was right. I didn't have anything approaching the gear to throw it on. Need to dig it out of the tackle box and see if I can throw it on a cheapo 7-0 medium heavy.

All you need is a Ultra Light Rebel Craw. But I do have a rather extensive creek box myself.

What color/pattern?

My favorite creek lure is the small shallow diving shad rap in the natural shad color. Have caught bream, redeye, largemouth, and spots on them in the creeks.

A couple of weeks ago I put on a larger bluegill crankbait, shallow runner. It's almost as big as some of the fish you'll catch at times. I absolutely wore the big bass out. Caught 8-10 bass that were really nice. The largest was just shy of three lbs. All were spots too. I would not have caught them on smaller baits, and I'm sure of it, because I've fished this creek my whole life. I didn't catch any small bass like I normally do.

I've done the same as Matt before with the shallow-running crankbaits in bluegill and even full-size SPRO topwater poppers. Fewer fish but they were bigger.
