Does anyone use the x stand? It's advertised as the lightest on the market. I plan to hunt a lot of public land this year and will have some long walks to make. I have an API Alumitec Star I've been using but it's a little heavier than I want to carry that far. I plan on selling it or trading for the x stand if I can get some honest reviews.

I loved mine. It was swiped this year. I talked my dad into one as well and he loves his as well. They make a back rest for $10 that weighs nothing but makes it more comfortable.

It climbs a little differently, but once you are used to it, it's very secure. It has straps similar to 3rd hand archery, that make it rock solid once settled.

In early season, I would wear my harness, stick a pull cord, flashlight, bow anger, and bottle of water in my pockets and take off. It sits high on your back, so it's lighter, but also much less in the way than a normal stand.

Only downside is comfort. I found it to be about like sitting in a semi comfortable lock-on.

If you get one, make sure it has the front bar. That makes climbing a lot easier. And you can prop a foot up on it. Also, if you're real talk, it won't be a good stand for you.

Thanks for the info Atoler. How was the foot platform?

Did you have room to move at all? I hate feeling like I'm confined to a notebook size space, especially while bow hunting.

I had plenty of room, the foot platform isn't that big, but it's shaped right. You sit back against the tree like a lock-on, so it doesn't have to be huge. With a summit, you are sitting 6" further out, so it needs to stick out further.

I'm 5'10" and 200# and it fit me great. My dad is a hair taller, fits him great. My best huntin buddy is 6'10" and he hated the one he bought. So somewhere in between, you get to big lol

I just bought one. It's the Sit-n-Climb. I have not climbed with it yet. I'll let you know how it does.
