Two Ponds hunting club which is located near the northwest part of Wilcox county has one membership opening left for the 2016/2017 deer season. It is deer hunting only. We are looking for a serious hunter only.
It's 500 acres of privately owned land that is located on the east side of highway five off of county road 30 (Willie Powell road)approximately 1.3 miles after you turn right onto county road 30 in Lamison, al. We have property on both sides of the road.
About half of the land was harvested for the mature pines three years ago. Just two years ago the remaining property which consisted of young pines were thinned. The property has a good road system with roads leading right to all the food plots and very near most all hunting stands.
The cost is $2,500 for the entire season.
No camping is allowed on the property but There is a camper park about 8 miles south back in Pinehill ,al right off of highway 5. A chevron station and a diner sit across the highway from the camper park with reasonable rates.
No camper ,,, no problem ,,,,Thomasville has a few hotels and motels and plenty of places to dine. There is Dunn's sporting goods with most all you need for hunting gear and supplies , also there is a Walmart. all of this is on highway 43 in Thomasville,al.
For inquiries call 251-401`-6572. ask for James.

I don't know who that other guy would be who always posted this property but this is my 1st time here. We ain't got much time before the season begins and I'm ready to answer other questions here or call the number. Thank you. Hmmmm so what happened to triple j hunting club? Did y'all get another 500 acres in the same area?
How many people am i willing to sacrifice for freedom? Everyone. All of them...
Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

My other concern is do the people that live in the 3 houses and 6 trailers with the 19 cars all crammed onto that 3.5 acre piece of property 3/10's of a mile west of your property line poach on you much? The guy that lives there is the most notorious and well known night hunter in that entire area. Not even kidding.
Turkeys be damned.

The club name was changed a while back due to a husband and wife dispute. Triple J is still used by Weyerhaeuser, My nephew is who placed the add on craigslist using the original name of the club ,,,Triple J.
since we've been hunting this land, There have never been more than six people hunting this land and six people is all we will allow.
I killed a real nice eight pointer and my brother killed a big old six point cull buck two years ago.
I didn't kill any deer last season. Three does were killed and one cull buck by the other members.
Two does per member per season.
We allow a two buck harvest per member. One buck has to be an eight point or better mature buck and one must be a cull buck. If no eight pointer is killed then two cull bucks are allowed(cow horns) .
We've never caught or witnessed poaching taking place on my land and never made a complaint to DCNR, but I will not sit here and say it doesn't take place. Poaching can take place any time any where on anyone's land.
As for the black man and his family that live on Willie Powell rd,, I know him personally and he seems to be a good man to me but, If he or anyone else he's affiliated with or not affiliated with is caught poaching this land I'd hate to be him if he got caught.
