Got my new lease in Chambers County. Thanks to everyone that helped!!!

I talked to a guy the other day that had some land in Clay and Talladega counties available, don't know how much or what the price was.

Where are you at in chambers?

It is north of Lafeyette. Off HWY 77. It's near Randolph county.

I'm thanking about geting out of hunting clubs and geting me a lease one these days, what all does it take to get a lease if u don't mind me asking?

The best advice I received was to call all of the Forestry Consultant Firms in your area and ask if they have something available. At first they had nothing. About 2 weeks later I got an email from one of them stating that they just had a place come available that matched what I was looking for. I tried all the websites and didn't really get anything good. AFOA had a few decent properties but I was either out bid or were too far away.

i got to disagree with the local thing, I do have a job so I cant hunt everyday. The florida people in our club put way more pressure on the land than me. They take off for weeks at a time and are constantly hunting or riding around the club in between hunts. But I understand your point.

I've mostly hunted on Army post for the past 10 years or so. It is a good place but Fort Benning has too many people now. Last year was very frustrating for me and a few other guys. I decided to look for a lease before last season ended. It is hard to find a good place within driving distance of my home. Was very lucky this place came available.

Wouldn't put up with em riding around club between hunts. Season isn't the time for that. No way
