I ain't no expert but if I was scouting through such a nice area and saw that the first thing I'd think is "I wonder why someone put that here" ... then I'd start looking at closer

I did just this Saturday morning

wish I had little clearings like that down deep... alas, little different, but... Logging landing/clearing. Threw some stuff out last season just for kicks. Had seen a few tracks and deer on cam before, but multiplied in spades with the planting!

I wouldn't do a thing. Set up and catch them slipping through on their way to dinner.

Leave it alone. Just keep the pressure off of it till the conditions are right.

I could just imagine this spot being outstanding during the rut being between two green fields like you say it is. Find a natural funnel/pinch point/trail intersection or something of that nature and hunt that when the wind is right. I can only imagine the number of bucks that will be cruising between the two fields checking for does. You should probably see a fair amount of chasing going on there too. Boy this is getting me fired up.

Leave it alone. If it's already a good spot, the deer don't need another attractant. An added food plot may only serve to attract other hunters.

You might put a mineral block in there, but other than that, leave it alone and stay out of it until you hunt it.
