California Gov. Jerry Brown signed into law today three bills (he didn't sign five others) that will: — Require an ID and background check to purchase ammunition and create a new state database of ammunition owners — Ban possession of ammunition magazines that hold more than 10 bullets. — Restrict the loaning of guns without background checks to close family members. Here's the story from the LA Times: http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-pol-s...-htmlstory.htmlJoin the NRA, Gun Owners of America, 2nd Amendment Foundation or other org you deem worthy. Once other states see these bills approved, and yes I know "it's California," they will consider or attempt or succeed in doing the same. I would not be surprised to see cities attempt to affect these kind of changes if state legislatures will not, such as a high tax on ammo or limited purchases. You're having a dove hunt and want to buy a case of 20-gauge ammo for you and your sons? What if you were limited to two boxes every two weeks "because no one needs that much ammo!" You found a fantastic deal on the .30-30 ammo you like for your lever action rifle and want to buy 25 boxes. The clerk says you're only allowed to buy two boxes and he'll have to run your background info, because someone believes you could cause trouble with all that high-powered ammo and "no one needs that much ammo!" "No one needs ..." is a convenient way for liberals and others who want to limit your freedoms to do so. They couch it as safety, animal management, good for society or whatever, but the bottom line is it is a cowardly way of suppressing your liberties.

When The U.S.A. Is Disarmed The People will witness the Fall of the Greatest Empire the World has ever known. Maybe these Liberal thinking Idiots will be happy with what they will have done in Disarming the Honest citizens of the U.S.A. And turned Us into just another Run of the Mill Nation.

When China decides to invade it'll be through liberal California, Oregon and Washington, then across liberal New Mexico and the southwest deserts of Arizona and Utah, and possibly Colorado. They'll meet resistance in Texas, hopefully, but by then we'll have lost half the United States.
Arkansas, Missouri and east Texas will be the new border.

It'll start in the cities with ammo taxes, like in Seattle or Portland or wherever the hell they did it. No one will object -- other than we "dirty evil bad horrible gun owners!" -- and they'll have a toehold. Then it will be something else.
All this is piecemeal. The five bills Brown didn't sign? They'll come back and one or two will get signed. Then the rest will come back. One chip at a time.

That's how they get you to register the ones you have as well.

And none of what they are doing will make a whit's difference. It's just feel-good BS liberal claptrap.
What will be interesting is when they start knocking on the doors of legal gun owners who haven't reported anything, and they want to know why they haven't purchased ammo for their A, B, C, D and so-on guns, and what are they doing with them, and where are all the guns, and show us, and ...
Modeling after England. Just another step.
