Does anyone know what the law is on these Bows, Ive read about them and understand they shoot 450 ft per second...Iam wondering if they will be legal to hunt deer with....Thanks,Randy
Check the regulation 220-2-.02 and 220-2-.03. Air guns are legal, .30 caliber and larger, but not airbows. They also do not meet the legal specifications for a bow and arrow. Don't believe every thing you read on the Internet.
Not saying this won't change and airbows become legal, because legal arms and ammo have changed a lot over the last several years.

It is legal during gun season. It has a bore greater than .30 caliber therefore it is legal during the firearm season. However, as I stated in he referenced post it does not meet legal specifications of a bow and arrow and therefore cannot be used during archery only season.
Just out of curiosity, what is the legal specification of a bow and crossbow? Do they make specific reference to the use of a string or cable to propel the arrow? I'm just wondering how soon someone will devise an airbow that's legal due to a technicality.

They are most likely changing this year... I'll look up the changes and post them tomorrow.

Sounds like an airgun to me. A projectile propelled by expanding gas sounds like a gun verses a projectile propelled by mechanical means.
