Good area. The closer to Isabella/Maplesville you are down 22, the better the hunting will be.
Ya'll are just overthinking it now

Why is that? I hunt on the eastern side of 65 in Chilton County closer to Verbena and it does seem that the population numbers are a little lower than you would expect considering how forested the area is. Why does it get better the further west you go? Soil?

Why does it get better the further west you go? Soil? Sorry, I should have clarified. I'm not familiar with east of 65 at all. I was simply referencing HWY 22 and having experienced hunting closer to Clanton (East) vs. buddies that have hunted Isabella/Maplesville (west) and results from each. There is some Ag land around Isabella off of 191 and 15 and that certainly could be responsible for better deer health and numbers.
Ya'll are just overthinking it now

I have hunted in that area for the last five years. What would you like to know about it?

South or north? Me or Trox may be able to tell you something about it if hayman can't.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Generally a decent area for deer. More quantity than quality. Plenty of turkey though. Of course it all depends on the particular tract, especially when you are talking a small one.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Nah this tract only had 2 very small fields with old shooting houses and it is RMS land so it would be a bid process.

May I ask how much there wanting to lease it for per acre.Or they wanting a set price. If this was to me...it already leased..I believe he wanted $1200 for the lease.
