I have never seen a turkey only for this area. That don't mean one is not available. Keep trying, it is a long time till season opens.
You may want to give the Freedom Hills refuge a try. There is a very good turkey population there and after the first week of season, the hunters really diminish. I have killed several on the refuge myself and I have a friend that hunts there exclusively for turkeys. He will kill at least three a year there and never runs into other hunters. he loves the hunting there and he loves the cost!
I can't stand a thief.
