Sell the SS gun, and buy a blued gun, pocket the difference.

Same here. Have had SS guns for years and never worried about it.
The camo gauze or tape is easy to apply and comes off easy and doesnt harm finishes. 1 roll will do a couple of long guns. Id dang sure buy some of it and take it off end of season before Id sell off a SS gun for a blued.

We had a group of out of state hunters with us one time and one of them had the finest of everything he could spend money on including a SS rifle. He was sitting in a tripod and when I went to pick him up as soon as I got to where the area he was watching was visible, I saw him stick out like a sore thumb on the other end of the field. That is when I decided SS was not for me. At least if it isn't dulled. I would use tape so it could be easily removed if needed.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Had the same thing happen with a gloss black/blued barrel. Went to pick a buddy up and wasn't sure which tree he had climbed. His old Remington 270 gloss barrel have him away because the sun was GLEAMING on it. Any barrel with a gloss or polished finish will do the same. I promise you won't spot any of my stainless barrels in identical situation.

I'd bead blast it, however, Caswell's makes a stainless steel blackener gel. Might take a look at that product.
