I have a 06 660 rhino. Runs good but it's a pain to get started especially if it hasn't been started in a couple days. Once started takes it forever to warm up enough to turn choke off. Any suggestions ? The 450 rhino I had before would start super easy summer or fall and no matter how long it had been sitting.

Ethanol sounds like the issue.

Only hits count.

may be fuel pump issue. mine dumps fuel out of line after a while of sitting unused. some have put a boat primer bulb inline to help relieve the long starter spins after sitting up.
i've heard a lot of people say theirs is cold blooded, but the only time i have long warmup times are when it is really cold out. i do use seafoam and nonethanol gas to keep all the jets cleaned out.

Every Yamaha with a carb I've owned, from 4 wheeler to motorcycle, has been cold natured like that.

They are cold natured! But after warming up they are normal bump and go, if yours is not doing that you need to pull the carb and replace the jets with a carb kit (cheap) and things will improve dramatically. Keep non ethanol fuel in it, keep the air filter clean and you should be fine.

Rebuild your carb and might want to adjust your valves if you
Haven't lately. I believe the fuel pump is vacuum operated so just make sure everything is tight with no leaks and that it's pumping fuel good. I've got a shop on 231 just south of the bridge if you ever need someone to check it out

I have the same issue. Started running regular( no ethanol ) gas and putting seafoam in a couple times per year. Still hard to choke and warm up, but once running no problems. Just cold natured- more so than any other Yamaha I have ever had.

I have a grizzly 660 and it has been cold natured ever since the day I bought it new in 2003.

Jet kits help but the motor is just one of those that need a little heat to run, when they warm up they are plenty strong and we never had any problems. As mentioned, if the motor has a bunch of hours and never had the valves adjusted get it done!

This. Same thing happened with mine. They make an aftermarket fuel pump that won't drain while sitting...

Also, if you haven't already done it, the circuit breaker for the radiator fan overheats and trips, causing the engine to overheat. Seems like I replaced it with a fuse.

I had a 06 with the same issues. Put a inline fuel bubble off a boat on the fuel line and pump it up before starting. Will start everytime.
