If it is just a hunting rifle shooting a couple hundred yards, using factory ammo, you won't see much difference between the creed and .260 ^^this^^ i have 2 rifles in 6.5 creedmoor. I hunt with them and also shoot long range with them. I love em but as fuzzy said for just a hunting rifle i don't think you'll see much difference.

If you don't reload get the 6.5 Creed.
If you reload.... Long Action. 6.5x284 or 6.5-06.

I'd run the 6.5x284 seated long with Lapua brass vs the .264. I get a solid 3100 avg out of a 26" with outstanding accuracy. Don't give up too much in speed. Out to about 1200 makes a good target rifle.
And then if I was just looking for speed I'd skip right over the .264 and go with 6.5-300 WBY. If you are gonna shoot the barrel out may as well pour the coal to it.

er a .264WM and be done with it.....  Won't the Creed have a much longer barrel life? Might not be a concern if you don't shoot a lot. I've been killing deer for 33 er so years the same 264WM with no loss of accuracy. But I don't go to the range once a month and burn 100 rounds thru it either.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

My buddies PH had a 264WM in camp!!!! I left him all my cartridges when we left. I don't get the whole 6.5Creedmore hype, esp in a hunting rifle. It won't do anything a 260 won't do.....
