I need a pitching machine and a bucket of baseballs, anyone in north Alabama have one?

I know a few folks that have some back home... Kids are graduating should be a good time to get rid of them. I'll check and let you know.

I'm sure you have already looked, but I have seen some on Craigslist. I was looking for a couple for an idea for a youth group game I have, but they are just too expensive for me.

I checked CL first, there are some high ends units there that are within driving distance but that's about it.

Is your son playing a league where they use a machine for games? If not, just throw it to him. Those things were horrible for messing up my timing.

Hey Yekrut i have a jugs jr I would sell and maybe a little more than a dozen of baseballs to go with it.

If yekrut is not interested send me a price. I like yek am not looking to spend much money but have been looking for something in my range.

No we are coach pitch, just wanting something to get more reps in at home on top of what we already do. We have worked and worked on fielding before season and he is a magnet for baseballs. He has played 1st all year in his 5/6 league and done excellent. Now he has been asked to play up in 7/8 and has played 4 games with them so far and is playi their tourney with them starting Monday. He is the smallest and youngest on the team but is hanging strong with the big boys. Arm strength to make long throws and batting are his weaknesses. The pitcher/coach he had all year in 5/6 does not pitch in 7/8 and they pitch from farther away. He usually gets on base and is very fast running bases.

You need to do a DNA on that boy then!

If he just needs lots of hitting reps, sit on a bucket closer to him and pitch to him and side toss to him and even have him hit off a tee (we hit off a tee a bunch in college). Video him to show him what he is doing right or wrong. Long toss to strengthen his arm.....and get the DNA test

If you wanta make him center the ball up, soft toss( side toss) with wiffle golf balls and a 1" broom stick bout 30" long for the bat. Tee work is a must at any age, unless you are hitting ropes from gap to gap every at bat. Pros do tee work.

Put the beer down and throw to him, he needs to learn to pick the ball up out of the pitchers hand, gauge the speed, rotation and such. Like Casey said, to build arm strength, long toss , after proper arm warm up of course.
