I left Florence yesterday since I'm off today and headed south for the long Memorial Day weekend. If any of y'all are heading down this weekend here on somethings I saw you need to be aware of.

It was pretty much all clear up to Birmingham. There is interstate work being done on 65 south with lane changes clearly marked but no lane closures. This is not a problem except for the jackasses that drive 80 and are texting that veer into your lane. So watch out for that.

The usual jamb up at the Pelham exit where the interstate goes from 4 lanes to 2. Paving being done from Chilton county to Autauga on both North and South bound lanes. Plus the median catch barrier fence is being repaired by ALDOT from all the crashes that have happened in Chilton county the past few months. Patch work paving in Baldwin and Mobile counties right before Gulf Shores parkway to the delta bridge.

Also watch out for the vehicles pulling camper trailers that are not rated to pull that much weight driving some 20 mph under the posted speed limit. The vehicles with hitch haulers that are way to overloaded with coolers and beach chairs. I've seen bungee cords and cheap ratchet straps break on these and all that crap hits the road causing total and complete pandemonium. The road rage driver that's just pissed off about everything because of all the bad choices they've made in life in it's your fault not his.

Last but not least if your drive by Whitecityhunter house to the beach slow your ass down! grin

Y'all add more if you know of any and I hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend!

I drove to Orange Beach and back yesterday on a case we are working. Lots of traffic, lots of PoPo doing their jobs. Ride home last night was horrible. 2 I65 North wrecks and road work around Prattville...took an addition hour and a half to get home.

If you are heading south on I-65 and think that if you get off onto U.S 31 to go thru Pelham and avoid traffic on 65... DON'T.
31 is moving at a snail's pace thru Pelham into Alabaster.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I'm headed south in the morning headed to the beach. The only part I hate on my drive is getting through(around) Dothan. It's ALWAYS a cluster.

If you are headed down 331 and an empty Coors light can hits your windshield in Luverne, don't get upset, its just me.
