Trick is that's not a Silverado. That was done to a 2dr Tahoe or Yukon. Sort of like the old prior to 1973 Chevrolet Blazer when the removable roof went all the way to the windshield. It likely would have been a little safer to cut this one like the later models just behind the front seats.

That looks cool but I'd be a little afraid to ride in it. Turn it over and your done.

Years ago there was a guy in Selma who took a later model blazer and removed the doors to make it like a Jeep. If he had taken the time to make some small covers for the bottom 6-12" of the door openings it would have been much better. Beer cans wouldn't have rolled out of the floor at least.

Yup its a Tahoe. Biggest problem I saw is all the sharp edges. You better get a tetanus shot before you ride in it. But it could be made into a cool ride with not much additional work.

Back in the day they used to make kits to turn mini-trucks into convertibles where you could cut the top off and turn it into a removable hard top. In one of the Karate Kid movies the evil Karate instructor had one.

Dodge also made a first generation Dakota with an actual convertible top on it. There's a guy at my office who has one and drives it to work sometimes.

We grew up in a 78 Bronco that the top came off like a hard top Jeep.

By the dents in it it looks like it has been over on its lid before. Probably got drunk and rolled her over and dont have insurance so they took a metabo to it and made a convertible.

Probbly was rolled over once.

I'll never forget going out in the parking lot of my apartment in college one morning. A convertible had left the top down all night. It had stormed and rained all night long, wind had blown in every direction. I remember walking over there to look inside, and the cup holders in the console were full of water. It was soaked. I laughed and went to work. Somebody's hangover was about to go from bad to worse that morning.
