I spray the foot platform on my summits with the rattle can spray bed liner. You can buy it for about 8 bucks a can at Wally World. You don't have to worry about the paint chipping off anymore and you don't have to worry about wet rubber boots slipping when climbing.

I have a 180 HD and love it as far as comfort and tree hugging. But I also have a hard time climbing with the dang thing. I sit on the back rail thus reaching with my legs forward into the feet brackets putting extreme pressure on my stomach. I havnt noticed it being any easier on larger trees but I will pay closer attention to that in the future. I love sitting with my back to the tree so I will leave the seat turned that way. I just don't wont to take the extra time to undo the straps and turn the seat around to climb and then back around to hunt.

You just never know!

I've tried a few different treestands over the years and have settled on the Summit. I use the Titan and Goliath.

Which one is bigger? I would love to hear the pro's or cons of each compared.

I believe the titan has a little larger base for your feet but the top/seat is the same. I have a titan and love it.. im 6'4" at #240 and have plenty of room to move around and be comfortable. Great stand for a long sit

The top is bigger on the Titan than the Goliath. The foot platforms are the same.

My only complaint about the Goliath is that the seat could be about 4" longer to be more comfortable for an all day sit. The end of that seat hits me about half way down my hamstring and gets uncomfortable after a fashion. (I know. First world problems)

I dont like sitting on the bars nor the seat climbing, I like to do a dip like movement, pump up my shoulders and tris on the way up..... and I'm only 5'10 so sitting in my 180 to climb isnt an option. #shortprobs
