SO WE HAVE A LITTLE spot in our yard maybe 40'x40' it ties to the paved road our back drive our yard where we cut and the neighbors yards. The small spot will not grow grass cause the dirt is not fit for it and it is also under big oaks. when it rains bad it tries to wash out a ditch in it. When we bought the house it had not been being cut. It has wisteria vines growing in it and up a few trees. now remember it cut all all side other than the paved road. So the other day I start cutting grass and notice someone has cut this spot without asking or telling us just cut it all down with a mower. My ? is would this piss you off or not. Hell I don't care one way or the other if it was cut. But I have issue with someone just doing it and not asking. Hell just come and help your self to my yard in any way you see fit. What say you!

Unless they actually caused an issue I would simply assume its a neighbor being helpful
Don't sweat the petty things...

It's a diabolical plot by your neighbor to gradually desensitize you to the point that you question whether or not that spot belongs to you. Eventually he's gonna pour a slab of concrete on it and start parking his truck there and you won't even remember that it once belonged to you

My neighbor uninvited cut my yard last year while he had his zero turn mower fired up. I bought him a case of beer and left it on his door step when I got home from work.

I'd be fine with keeping it rolling as long as he wants

My mom just like the purple flowers the wisteria vine but out early spring. I could careless one way or the other. It be nice if someone would pour a slab on it a place to work outside on stuff.

I personally would go over and thank him and ask him why he quit at that point and didn't do the whole yard

Just gets me thinking. I'll just pick so food off the neighbors garden. I'll just be helping them out by picking some right. Hell I'm confused I was thought by my dad to stay off other people places unless invited. Like don't thread on me I heard that one somewhere.

I know this is petty but ain't this a gateway trespassing.LOL

More like having some left over fireant killer and using it up on some of your beds before throwing away.

Like others have said, sounds innocent to me

In the state of Alabama, if I remember correctly, if a person maintains a piece of property for a certain number of years, it becomes lawfully theirs. Probably not their intention but I remember a church I attended having to go to court with a neighbor that asserted this law. He took care of a little stretch under the guise of being helpful. Turned out he wanted the property all along and knew the law on maintaining it.

just so we're clear.....the place he cut is a spot on the line that borders his property? If so, no sweat...he was probably just trying to be neighborly.

Now, if he randomly went to the far side of your property to cut some arbitrary place, that'd be totally different (and strange).

Let it ride, man

Yea I know nothing funny was taking place. Just really surprised no one asked before doing it. I still have no idea who done it. It just came up cut.

Funny stuff.

GP,

not sure of who cut it. I guess the touching property owner or the crazy lady straight across from it. I say crazy lady cause she has showed us she is. Shooting 12ga at her neighbors house and building fires on my side of the road on right of way but my side behide our shed where we can't see it and leaving. We had the fire issues fixed she now stays with them. We also had the law talk to her about shooting the shotgun in the neighborhood. This lady is a trip tho.

When I am mowing/weedeating and am in the zone, I cut everything that needs cutting. Did two neighbors yards at the lake last weekend just because it was a nice day and they needed cutting. Most likely just a neighbor that was trying to be helpful.

I prefer people to stay on their own property unless invited.

I would at least talk to the guy so he knows that I own the property

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Look no further. There is your culprit. I'd think long and hard about your next move. Your life could be in danger. grin

There is a large field next to the house we bought for the MIL. I mow it when I mow her yard. There is a narrow strip, actually about a 2' bank down to her neighbor's yard. It has to be cut with a trimmer. (Too steep for a rider.) While I'm doing the other trimming, I trim their bank as well. Takes about 15 minutes and helps the look of both places. Should I quit?
