Buried the 3 1/2" nail up to the head in my right thumb. My dad pulled it out with linemans pliers. Hurt much worse coming out than it did going in.

Just one question: Did a drop of pee come out when he got on it with those lineman's pliers?

No, I didn't have time. I braced my hand against my leg and held my thumb with my other hand so it wouldn't move. It was supposed to be a 1,2,3, pull type deal, but he jerked that son of a gun out with every bit of strength he had on about 1 1/2 instead of 3 and all in one motion jumped backwards like a spider monkey about 10 feet across the kitchen and rared back to hit me if I came after him. LOL It hurt like a son of a gun. I should have peeled the glued on paper off the sides of the nail before he pulled it back through.

After about 10 minutes of stomping around foaming at the mouth, I wrapped it up in electrical tape and went back to work. That sucker was sore for a month.

Lol. You a tough son of a gun. Getting stung by bees and then this. Black electric tape is my brothers band aid of choice too. He's got a finger wrapped up all the time.

Is that common to air guns as well? I bought a used air framing nailer and it works great, but won't shoot the last 3 nails. I was thinking a weak feeder spring, but this is the first one ive ever owned and I don't know much about them.

Some do block out the last few nails so you don't dry fire it. I have had some where the last nail always drops out on its own, some that bend the last nail, all sorts of little quirks.

Did this back when I worked as a carpenter and built houses. Nail turned out of a ridge went through my palm and almost went all the way through. Made a blister on the top of my hand but didnt break the skin. I got dizzy and almost passed out. ER doc said I should go to tunica because it seperated 2 bones and didnt shatter any. Taped it up and went back to the job to finish the day but was sore a month.
