Need a few more members, Current members have voted to change a few of the rules; IE from 1 to 2 does per year, they dropped the 125 buck minimum to 110 for the first deer then you move up to the 125 class deer. 4500 acres with lots of deer and turkey, food plots and a road system. Family membership, camper area where you provide a camper, water, and electric. Dues are $1,000 per year.
PM me for additional information
Thanks
Ken

Just curious, but why the drop to 110? How many 125+ do y'all kill every year and how many less than that have been killed? How many total members?

The drop was what the members wanted cause they wanted to grow into the 125 trophy class deer. There are about 30-35 members. I have not been told how many deer have been killed in the 125 class.

Beautiful land, but 75% is hard to hunt unless you're a mountain climber. LOL

Probably some monsters up there that nobody will EVER see.

I think that your statement is somewhat true. Beautiful land that has some really good deer roaming around. There are some good deer killed every year. I am not sure you need to be a mountain climber to hunt, there are flats and gentle slopping areas as well, and the use of ATV and UTV makes the mountain climbing easier. After all, there are several men over 55 hunting this area.

Nothing negative intended at all. I guess my point was: There's a LOT of that land that likely gets little to no pressure, simply because it's not on the flats or near any easy trail access, and one has to be willing to work a bit to access it. I hunted it for 5 yrs, 25 years ago, when it belonged to the original bunch. I'm sure it's way improved on roads/trails/fields and such, by now....but it's always gonna be beautiful and rugged as all get out. LOL

I'm waffling over getting back in, even if I can only hunt it 2-3 times a season....just for the views. wink

Thanks Almoux - I think you are spot on with every comment. Mature deer are always difficult to kill and you have to be willing to work for them.
You are correct with the improvements which gives better access to rough terrain where the trophy bucks hang out as well as the additional green fields. The original bunch is still around. We have a few more opening if you decide to join as we would welcome your membership.

Thanks again for your honest comments

We are still looking for a few more hunters that are wanting to hunt trophy size deer and pass along this passion to the younger ones in the family.
