They have sure gone up. Back in 1983 they were 8.00 per tie brand new from Moss tie company in Columbus ms. Ain't no way I'd pay 70.00 for one

As kids we used to push the railroad's tool cart to the top of the hill and ride it down. When we were finished we would hide it in the bushes till next time. Our fun was over when the railroad detective showed up at the front door looking for that buggy. We got our tails tore up by our parents.

We got plenty used ones the RR I work for. We got them piled up in several places. they selling them??? I've never been able to find anyone at any RR that will say they will sell me some or give me some.....
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....
