Just a bit of language...not a bunch... My youngest has played travel softball since she was basically 8, shes 19 and playing in college now. This video, applies to both softball and baseball Moms (done by a dude) is exactly how Southern Moms sound at the ballfields Southern Mommas

That was cringe-worthy, because it was so accurate.
I dread the day my kids start playing sports, just because of the other parents. we'll have to be the parents sitting way down the fence away from everyone else or I'll lose my mind.

Dont worry, I sat in the OF's myself... Few years ago, a softball mom from another team asked our teams coaches wife if there was something wrong 'as in mentally with me because I never sat in the stands...LOL...I later told her YES  BEST advice I can give is to NOT be to hard or to easy on your kid...They are not perfect, and they don't try to screw up...long story but...and I'm a recovering bad Dad...(not the worst BTW) Ive seen kids who whiff at a pitch or make an error, and first thing the kid does is find their Dad in the stands and wince because Dad is gonna go ballistic... As far as being to easy...kids gotta learn, life is not fair...although we call them special names, they are not necessarily 'special'...Let them learn some life aint fair lessons...

My 17yr old daughter and I just watched that and cried laughing because its soo true. Ive seen about everyone of those at a ballfield. 100% spot on!

I'll be honest with you, I was EXACTLY the same way. I was adamant that my daughters would never play park sports simply because of the "park parents". As seems to happen when you're the only male in the house, I got out voted last year and my then 10yo daughter wanted to play softball. I went kicking and screaming but after a few weeks I absolutely fell in love with it. And one of my favorite things about it is the people. Granted, this Spring is only our 2nd year to play (played Fall ball, as well), but I haven't run into too many of the "park parents" at all. I'm sure that the more time we spend the more exposure I'll have to some of them but we've made a lot of good friends through the ball park.

Being an umpire who calls girl softball, this was soooo true. Multiply by 3 and you have the dad's video. I always tell the parents it's about the kids not them. Video was quite accurate....

I didn't pay 84 dollars for u to catch butterflies and pick flowers .... hahahaha
My dad helped "coach" my little league team and there was a kid throwing his glove up in the air and catching it and dad hollered out if u ain't gunna pay attention, just bring ur butt over here and sit on the bench next to me. Immediately after saying that he turned around to cuss and mumble under his breath , when he turned back around the kid was walking into the dug out. He then had to explain he didnt actually mean for him to come over there.
Give me bout 15 more minutes, I was dreamin about beavers..........
