Just got my Mathews HDX rest for my Drenalin LD. Any tips/advise on setting it up? It was a slightly used one. I've downloaded the intall guide but I know lots of you might have some words of wisdom to share.

They're very easy to set up. When you install it, install it all the way forward so it sits against the riser. Attach the pull cord to the cable approximately 1" below the grip. You can use the clamp, but I prefer to split the cable and run the cord through it and tie a knot on the end of the cord. If you do this, you will need to press the bow and you will need to place about 1/2" of serving around the cable above the cord. You can also serve 1" of the cable where the cord will attach and tie the cord to the cable over the serving using a cinch knot (the same knot used to tie a D-loop on).
Once you have the cord attached, you are ready to check the timing. Cock the rest and draw the bow. The timing marks should align just as the bow drops into the letoff. If they line up early, lengthen the pull cord or pull the cord up on the cable. If they don't align when you drop into the letoff, shorten the cord or move it down on the cable.

Thanks Shaw.... I might be ordering a new string from you before long and have you set it up for me. I'll be up your way more often now that my daughter will be going to Alabama in the fall.
