I take the same setup above^ but instead of screwing it into a tree, I screw it into an attachable mount I made. Basically just a couple of scrap pieces of door jamb trim made to fold up. Add a strap and you're ready to go. Strap it to the tree and you can change the angle the cam faces left/ right (if you line the eye bolts horizontally) and up/down (if the eye bolts are aligned vertically--or via the folding of the wood pieces as pictured).



And here is my locking system. I've removed the nylon strap so you could see what I have going on better. Bought the metal strip at Home Depot where they have the threaded rods etc. Used a rotary tool (drimmel) to cut to size and cut out a notch for the cable to fit through. Chose cable for portability and light weight. Obviously this just keeps the honest guys honest.
