Coach Williams isn't going anywhere and he will have a job with Coach Saban as long as he wants one.

I'm amazed that Saban would allow Bobby Williams to coach those boys to block in the back on returns and to fumble the ball for all these years.

Since it's been a problem for years and hasn't been corrected I would say it is coaching. The blocks in the back and the fumbling are correctable problems. Bama get's at least one to two BIB every ballgame. Blantant ones where they smoke a guy right between his shoulder blades.

If my count is correct, Bama was called for a grand total of 8 "illegal block" penalties during punt returns in 15 games in 2015, for an average of about one every other game. Bama was called for "illegal block" during punt returns twice in two games, and once in four other games. Tony Brown was called for a grand total of ONE of those block in the back penalties. Everybody remembers the one called on Tony Brown because of the ass-chewing he took from Saban.

The key word is "called" hunterbuck. I'm a Bama fan but your "do no wrong" attitude is pretty weak. They consistently block in the back and apparently everyone but you can see it.

Oh, you're counting the ones you deem to be block in the back penalties, but not called.....gotcha.

If dealing with FACTS is considered a "do no wrong" attitude, then I'm guilty.

No.... I'm counting the ones that are blocks in the back. Because an official didn't see it, doesn't mean it wasn't there.

I had no problem understanding your point. I and everyone else that watches the games think you are wrong. You seem to not think it's a problem when it is.

Your opinion must explain why Saban chewed Bobby Williams' ass out whenever we got a block in the back penalty, right? Oh, that's right...he didn't. He chewed out the player that made a mistake. Saban does as much, if not more, with special teams as Bobby Williams ever did.

Are you just as concerned with the holding penalties that aren't called, with the pass interference penalties that aren't called, with the offsides/illegal motion penalties that aren't called, etc? There are lots more of them per game than there are blocks in the back that aren't called. How about delay of game penalties, and timeouts having to be taken to keep from getting a delay penalty? Do we wish coaches to be fired for those, too?

Fact is, players make mistakes. Of the 8 flagged block in the back penalties, 4 of them were committed by true freshman...Burgess-Becker (2) and Ronnie Harrison (2). They're young guys and are going to make mistakes...it comes with the territory of trusting freshmen to take the field.

And I LOVE how you've now taken the position that you speak for EVERYONE other than me.

Quote all the statistic you want and keep running your smart ass mouth. Statistics often do not tell the whole story, and it doesn't change the fact that Bama commits a lot of special team penalties. That boils down to coaching. These kids have played football their whole life to get to Alabama, and they know you can't smoke a guy between the numbers on the back of his jersey.
