Went today and put out cameras for the first time this year. Put out corn and going to do inventory for next year. Really excited to see what i get. Possibly let them for a month and check em. Put out some minerals then maybe. Also did some scouting in a spot i have never been. Brother and i drove by and said you ever in there and i said no it's planted pine thick. He said let's check it out that he has his machete. We get into and we found a gold mine. Open about 30 by 30 yards and three big trails that intersect in it. It's on the of a bad boy thicket too. Scrapes rubs everywhere. Put the camera up and trimmed a tree up to climb that was away from the trails. With a north they will never know i am there.

I love hunting good trails in pines a little bit thinned out!!! Seen many many deer all day in spots like u described!

I did the same thing this morning. Out out 10
Cameras on 1000 acre tract, with rice bran and corn. Noticed several rubs and distinct trails that I wish I would have hunted this season. Marked them all on my hunting app so next year I will be better prepared. Did jump 4 bucks, 3 already back in bachelor group.

Already picked out the 2 bucks me and my boy want to kill next year, providing they don't get poached or run over. Alive and well as of last night.
