I have a 7 year old long haired dachshund I need to get rid of. The wife is expecting and we have four dogs so we have to downsize. Jageur is CKC registered and has been fixed. He is crate trained and house broken. He really is an awesome dog that wants to be with you constantly. Loves riding in boats, cars, and atvs/utvs. He is up to date on all shots. It breaks my heart to even be making this post, but I got to think about what is best for my future family. He has been fine with any kids that he has been around. He is dog and cat friendly.
I would prefer for him to go to a fenced in yard. Unless you plan on taking him out to the bathroom on a leash. He may or may not come back if you don't have a fenced yard. He is an inside dog and whoever takes him will treat him as sort. I will not just give this dog away to anyone. This dog has been a part of mine and my wife's family for the last 7 years. I would prefer him to go to the home of an elderly couple to bring them many years of joy or to a family with kids that could love on him and give him the attention he deserves.
My wife and I will be the determining factor on whether or not we feel comfortable giving the dog to you. If we do not feel you will be a good match, do not take it personal. If we do not find him a home by Monday we are going to give him to the dachshund rescue, then there will be a screening process and a rehoming fee.
Pics are posted below. If you have any questions please PM me.

Just curious, out of 4 dogs, why did you pick this one to cull from the herd?

That's a fine looking hound. The lady that does our book work is a dachshund freak. I thought I had her sold until she found out it is a male.
The pictures may push her over the edge.....

If nobody else takes him, I will. My male Dachshund needs a buddy to play with and I have a fenced yard with doggie door access.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

The wife is interested. We have two homes in Springville that we will be checking on this weekend if you would like to meet for a bit.
No offense Geno but I really don't want to give him to you for you to give him away. I can do the screening myself. Thanks.

I have no idea what that post means. Good luck with the rehoming.

Do you still have him? The wife just seen the pictures and we have a fenced in yard and kids for him to play with.
The secret to a long marriage is to keep on dating, just as you did before marriage. We have "date night" once a week. Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.
The only time a married woman gives those is if your not married to them!
