NH is pretty liberal so the results are fairly predictable.

NH is pretty liberal so the results are fairly predictable. Extremely liberal. Historically they usually vote for the most liberal candidates in both primaries. They definitely lived up to that tonight.

With so many Republican candidates still in the race, it is expected especially in NH.
Trump leads with 34% Next 6 have 60%+.
Until the splintered vote is greatly reduced it is hard to tell how strong support really is for Trump, Cruz, Rubio, and a 4th candidate. Trump is polling in the 30s everywhere. How the 60-70% falls is key.

NH used to be VERY republican.
When I lived there (for 10 years)..you drove up I 95 into NH and it said " Bien Venue ( french I guess)..Welcome to New Hampshire..we are NOT a welfare state"
It had all republican govenors, senators etc...then a bunch of MASSHOLES moved north from Mass. to " escape" high taxes and turned it liberal in Manchester, Portsmouth and Nashua..with HIGH taxes...go freakin figure....
My friends that live there still are dyed in wool conservatives ..they live in the country like I did.

"New Hampshire has undergone a partisan shift since 1992. Historically, New Hampshire was a staunchly conservative state and regularly voted Republican, with only Hillsborough County leaning Democratic before the 1970s. Some sources trace the founding of the Republican Party to the town of Exeter in 1853. Prior to 1992, New Hampshire had only strayed from the Republican Party for three presidential candidates—Woodrow Wilson, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson. The state voted for Presidents Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan twice by overwhelming majorities.
Beginning in 1992, New Hampshire became a swing state in both national and local elections. The state supported Democrats Bill Clinton in 1992 and 1996, John Kerry in 2004, and Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012. It was the only U.S. state to support George W. Bush in the 2000 election and go Democratic in the 2004 election. The state elected two Democrats to the Governorship during this period."
I blew on out of there shortly after that shift...

The longer there's a large field the better for Trump. If the bottom 4 to 5 would drop out tomorrow, it would get interesting in a hurry.

Fox News said no republican has ever won the nomination without at least winning Iowa or NH. So, if this holds up we are looking at Cruz or Trump. This is by no means a normal election year.

They were interviewing people that were torn between kasich and Bernie! They would have one picked and the other was there second choice. They are more alike than you might think.

Spin spin spin.....what is the excuse going to be in South Carolina? I expect Trump to win SC. Huge lead, splintered GOP ticket. I also expect Bush, Christie, Carson, Fiorina, and kaisich to drop out shortly after.

Sanders would do less damage than.Hillary as well as a couple of the Republicans. He is an old white guy with very little political clout. Even a minority of weak republicans would have little problem keeping him in check. He'd be lame duck the day he was sworn in.

A guy I work with its selling everything he owns. He just bought a 50' sail boat. He's leaving when he gets everything lined up, going to be living down in the islands, mainly of grid. I may have to join him if this keeps up. Are there any turkeys on the island?

Dang...ya'll fell victim to the news channels. Its just New Hampshire... thats like the space between H-ville and B-Ham. They love taxes, they do not have 1/10th the ethnic diversity any normal state has, and their average idea of labor involves cutting a 1/4 acre plot of grass 2 months out of a year.
What till the big showdown primary states start to happen to see how things shake out.

What scares the hell out of me is this: most old timers that are true constitutional conservatives are far and few between. These folks apply conservative principal to every thing they do. Examole , Cruz / rand Paul . I really don't think a true conserative can win the whitehouse anymore in this liberal country we have become. I do believe that there are enough true conservatives who will not vote for a moderate to put a democrat in office . True conservatives you are a minority and even though cinservative values made this country great . Most folks don't care about history these days , there more concerned with facebook and welfare. I hope all the true conservatives grit there teeth and vote for trump , over Bernie or Hilary , I don't think Hilary will beat Bernie.

What till the big showdown primary states start to happen to see how things shake out. Only good part of it at all is seeing the wicked witch get bruised up. Hopefully she will implode quickly. These early primaries show her weakness. And I can't stand Trump but I'll vote for him over Bush any day.

I agree 100% Billary has way more clout in her little finger than bernie could ever scrape up plus all the repubs are scared of her..Which brings me to my next point I hope Bernie has real good security cause if he wins one more primary he will probably end up as another dead man in the wake of the Clinton political machine......

I figured Trump and Bernie would clean up, but what I didn't see coming was Kaisch coming in second and Rubio finishing a distant 6th just ahead of Fiorino.
Kaisch comes across as a plain talking straight shooter and maybe that's what appealed to the New Hampshire folks. And maybe they see through the smooth talking of Rubio.
Kasich is a full blown , big government, liberal. That's what appealed to them.

Some of y'all are acting like Bernie wouldn't be a problem in office. Let me lay down a few ideas:
1.) Russia. You think Putin is intimitaded by Bernie? Neither do I. Putin is respectable, Bernie is a cranky old man who got elected by whoring himself out to liberal arts majors. Putin is gonna do whatever he wants in our backyard.
2.) He has tapped into a pipeline of resentment towards successful lifestyles and decisions. He wants to be the savior for everyone in debt. Dudes gonna spend some tax dollars.
3.) He's gone loony and needs to be in a nursing home. 4.) Supreme court nominations

You cannot fix stupid and these left wing loons are as stupid as stupid gets. I worked with a guy from Boston several years ago. He said his property taxes on a very modest 3BR house were more than his monthly mortgage payment. Something like $1500 a month in taxes and $1200 mortgage payment comes to mind.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

The democratic primary is so rigged, I don't see any way that Bernie could pull it out. Clinton is already whipping him in the delegate count. Excellent point on Super delegates all for Hillary. But that can change if Bernie continues to win. Super delegates can switch their votes as they wish. Screwed system.

Nope. I'll vote for Cruz. I'll even close my eyes and vote for Rubio. But if Trump is the candidate I'll stay home. If I'm gonna vote for a liberal I'll vote for Bernie or Hillary. At least Bernie is honest about who he is. I can respect that even if I don't agree with it. Trump is a phony in every way. He's the absolutely LAST candidate I'd vote for.

Spin spin spin.....what is the excuse going to be in South Carolina? I expect Trump to win SC. Huge lead, splintered GOP ticket. I also expect Bush, Christie, Carson, Fiorina, and kaisich to drop out shortly after. Today's update: 2 out BEFORE SC. Interesting. Fiorina----GONEChristie-----unconfirmed but expected to drop out----GONE!Might take a couple more primaries for Bush, Carson and Kaisich to drop out.

I guess I'm crazy, but I don't like the delegate system or the electoral vote system. It should be one man one vote. The problem with this is the liberal idiots in just a handful of big cities would decide every election. There are more people in some individual cities than there are in a half dozen states combined.
