CAL OP 14 point Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 6,536 Sylacauga	My son and I shot one of these last weekend that had the trigger lightened to 1.5 lbs. So now I'm on the hunt for one. What's yalls take on these? We shot a subsonic suppressed round in it as well. That was a cool experience. If I get one it will most likely be in 7mm08.

I always wanted a kathadin 460 or 45-70 barrel. Nice compact package I have read that the newer ones since bought by S&W are not as good as the ones manufactured prior to the purchase. Both of mine were from before the buyout, so I don't have personal experience with the new ones.

catdoctor 4 point C Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 327 wilcox county	I hunted all season with a 24 inch MGM 308 Winchester barrel. I switched the receiver from a 15 inch 308 pistol to rifle configuration. I killed 4 hogs and one doe. Never felt disadvantaged with a single shot rifle except when you get into a large group of pigs! I would like to have a MGM barrel chambered in 257 Roberts, I think it would be perfect for hogs and deer. Last edited by catdoctor; 02/09/16 02:01 PM. Reason: more info.
