My first attempt at something like this but Eli wanted this for his room. I think it turned out pretty well.

Don't take my critique personally, what you have is nice, but to me it's way too busy and doesn't flow. Remove about 3 of those antlers around the edge and it will be perfect. You want lamps to flow to be widest at shades base.

I`m not trying to be an asshat (ridgestalker) but I thought the same thing. I just didn`t know how to put it in to words without sounding rude.

if Eli likes it that is ALL that matters.

Listen to AW for future projects, he does have a good eye for deer stuff.

I like it. But a bigger shade could fix what you're saying.

Absolutely! I certainly wasn't trying to be be rude either. Some of my early projects, most of which I thought were already perfect I later went back and tweaked after getting critiqued by others with more experience. There's certainly nothing wrong with his piece as is.

Here is one that I made. Just to give you some ideas for your next lamp since Eli took your first one.

I get what y'all are saying and it didn't come across rude. I also like the other two lamps posted. This was my first and its Eli's he pretty much designed it and I just put it together for him. I definitely get what y'all are saying about flow. I'm going to try something a little different with the next one.
