I hide stuff all the time and forget where I hid it. It a great surprise when you do find something that you had totally forgotten about and it still be there after all this time. Just recently, I was cleaning out my closet and I used to have a bad habit of hiding money in particular in coat inside pockets or down inside a shoe. I was trying to decide what to donate to Goodwill and picked up a pair of old tennis shoes and something clicked and I thought I wander if..., sure enough, I reached inside and there were five freshly folded $100 bills just like I left them. That would have been a nice buy for someone at Goodwill.

I have also found others things that I will not mention back from my younger days that I hid from others and just smile and throw it away now.

If you have an iphone, pay .99 for NAV CLOCK in addition to the clock it displays the gps cordinates. If you setup special folders in your photo album you can screen shot the location of stands, licks, whatever.

I started doing this and it really helps my 48 year old brain.

No, because my OCD Clean freak wife will put it somewhere and then she forgets where it is so i don't even bother looking anymore. If i can't find it and need it I buy another, then, i have 8 of them.

Funny ya'll mentioned knives. I have an old timer knife my grandfather gave me that was "lost" for 2 years. I basically blamed my son and his fishing buddy every chance I got. This past elk season, I opened a pouch on my hunting bike and it was there. I didn't tell anyone, haha

Yup, I quit buying expensive knives. Mostly buy CRKT or Gerber now and if I lose one, oh well.

Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.

Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

THANKS A BUNCH!!! You just reminded me where my Gerber Multi-tool is! Been looking and trying to remember what I did with that. It's in the pouch on my bike.

When hunting with my young sons I would leave my truck keys hidden nearby, covered in leaves, usually at the base of a tree, stump or log. That way who ever came out first could get in the truck. Now that they are grown I still do it. I guess out of habit. Anyway, on a hunt last year I could not remember where I placed them. Lucky for me a club member had his metal detector and after a little searching, we found them.

What drives me crazy is "up" is a completely random place. It's never the same place twice.

I'll admit though I've had it both ways my x never put anything up and we'd have lived like slobs if I didn't so I don't mind hunting things occasionally. I'm real bad with special tools. I use to have 3 or 4 Brake shoe spring clip tools because I can never find one when I actually need it. Then when I buy a new one and go to put it away I'll find the other 3 I have.
