Here. Been doing it for years. Killed many long beards with bow. Took 2 last year.
Son just turned 12, has taken a few with a shotgun, wants to try it this year.

I wont, it just doesn't appeal to me.

Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

I know everyone likes the decap shots, but I like killing turkeys so i shoot them in the body.

I had a buddy film me shoot one two years ago with bow and we ended up with 6 minutes of grass.

He don't film no more.

Body shots with a regular old rage. Everyone talks bad about them but I love them.

big old four blade with a Zwickey Scorpio to impede penetration to keep broadhead INSIDE the gobbler. With the arra still in most won't fly or run very far.

I don't remember where I got the two legged stand from, seems like it was from Ga?

the removeable blind cover I made, attaches in about a minute, takes down and into the vest back.

black hub is PVC, struts are alum arra pieces that slip over glued in alum insert thru the PVC.

I've killed a bunch of birds with this rig, hold the blind up towards an approaching bird and you can draw and shoot w/o being seen. Very deadly for the mover....

killed this bird at TWO yards from a DB blind, longbow and stone point thru the neck. Bird was so close to the blind that I couldn't see its body so shot the neck instead. I can hit a dime at TWO yards.

This ^^^^^ bang flop is better than shoot and run around chasing him after an arrow poke in snake infested swamps. Seems like bow hunters would get an extra month to turkey hunt like they do deer hunt, wonder why they dont?

so it's just the snakes that bother you???? grin grin I don't chase after em, I just sit quietly for fifteen minutes and go look for em in the direction they ran. They will not go far and will be hiding in a hole or under something. Never lost one that ran, have lost two that flew off.

I gun hunt em and bow hunt em both. Sittting in a DB blind ain't too much fun but it is damn near needed to kill one with a recurve/longbow. Runnin and gunnin is way better....

About 10 years ago I went with the bow and tried from a treestand. Got one shot off, but missed. Ain't went since then, but I gave it a try.
