It's been a beautiful morning in the woods. One small buck has slipped through the bottom, but overall pretty quiet so far. This is my kind of January weather. Cool in the mornings, but warms up fast. There is very little wind and if the deer will just cooperate it'll be perfect. I thank the Lord for this wonderful day.

Was over looking my small food plot this morning, actually had pictures of some does out there at 10:15 this past Monday which is rare for this time of year here. I wasn't even in the stand an hour this morning when I had a huge pie balled doe walk out 25yds, drew on her and waited for her to turn as she was quartering toward me. Of course her being a deer something spooked her and she ran about 10yds, stopped and turned broad side. She's around 35yds from me so I put my 30yd pin about dead center so when it goes low it will still hit the vitals, problem was she ducked and it sailed just over her back into the ground. She ran about 20yds and stops broadside just looks at me before she walked off.
