Seems like dad has had a tough year. He shot a big 6 with his bow, right around christmas, but hit a limb and shot him through the hindquarter. Saw the deer last week and it seems to be doing fine, luckily. He saw a huge 8 pt two weeks ago on the powerline, but he had been bow hunting and was walking out of the woods. Had several other big deer on camera, but they just havent cooperated this year. Since having my little girl a little over a week ago, hunting hasnt been on my mind much. Was sitting in the recliner snuggled up with her this morning, and my phone started ringing. Dad said that he had shot a deer, but couldnt tell exactly how big. All he knew was it was outside the ears. Emily took over the baby and i loaded up to go drag... Found this when i got there. Was bigger than he thought. No mass and tine length wasnt there, but he was proud of it. Glad he finally got one after some of the luck he has had the past two years.
