I give credit to a lot of people on here; I can't remember their usernames but they gave me tips and various information that lead to me getting this guy. Thanks to all of you.

He walked out at last light twice this year but this morning I did a doe estrus(can call) call at 7:25 and then a tending click grunt at 7:30, he walked in to my right at 7:37. When I saw him and recognized what deer it was my heart felt like it was going to come out of my chest. I waited until he was behind some trees to draw but he heard me and paused but then I was breathing so loud trying to calm myself I know he heard me.

When he finally moved again I had to remind myself that I didn't bend at the waist so I leveled up and bent at the waist but I still shot high.
It was only by the grace of God that I dot this guy, the arrow hit him in the spine; went clear through the spine and was just sticking out the ribs on the opposite side under the skin.

Great deer with a bow! Congrats! You can't make a perfect shot all the time. God knows I've made some terrible shots and was lucky enough to recover them. Kudos for still toting the bow. I'm still toting it also...at least for a couple more weeks. smile
