I have all of next week off except for Tuesday but, they are calling for rain starting Monday through the following Monday. REALLY!!!!! Anyway; I have read were some people say not to bow hunt in the rain for various reasons(blood trails being the main reason)so what is the general consensus on here about it? Elite Omnia, Easton FMJ, Axcel Landslyde 5 pin slider.

I quit hunting in the rain with a bow for that reason. I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted..... proud Cracker-Americaan muslims are like coyotes, only good one is a dead one

Atoler 14 point A Joined: Feb 2013 Posts: 8,395	I lost a 120" 8 pt last year. Stuck him in the shoulder but still got 6" in to him. Decent blood for about 100yds, then the rain started and the blood washed out. Never found him. I will still bow hunt in the rain, but I won't take a shot unless it's a chip shot, and it has to be light rain.

Just be sure to dry your equipment off real good when youre done hunting. Also when your string gets saturated with water you will shoot low. Youll be fine if you keep your shots inside 30 yds.
