Stupid me I found the casing where I shot at the buck and it looks like I got the ammo mixed up , I guess I got th clips mixed up with my wife's gun . My sons is sighted in with the Hornady.. I wouldbt think it would make that much difference at 35 yards .. 139 grain american whitetail , versus Remington core loct 140 grain ?
At 35 yards, it wouldn't make a difference shooting/hitting a pie plate kill zone. God Bless, David B.

There's no way I missed that deer , I've shot three types of 139 140 grain bullets through this thing today and all are within 6 inches out to 200 . I searched out to about 40 yards and found no blood , what's the chances of him not bleeding out that far? It gets thick past that and he could have went 180 degrees . I think I'm going to go look more . I've had them go a lot farther than 40 yards without bleeding.

I just happened to stumble over him. I don't care for those Whitetail loads. He got the heart. BTW, he shot the exam same setup your shooting.

The Core Lockts are ol reliables for me...never wounded one with em and always good blood trails...Heard bad stuff about the Whitetail loads tho

Dixieboy nice buck as well. Was he just passing thru or chasing? Was a buck our whole club was hunting and he just came passing through. I was set up on what we call "snipers hill" due to that's where we long range. Only deer I saw the whole morning with a 1600 yard view. Shot em at 120 yards with the 338 lapua and DRT. Let me tell ya it was a mess very impressed with the 300gr Berger.
Only accurate rifles are interesting.
