For those of you who aren't seeing deer, that's what they're probably feeding on. I was strolling down a power line the other day and I've never seen as many things still green and growing this time of year. We have a poor acorn crop around my hunting grounds and that normally means the deer come out of winter in real poor shape and they may come out in poor shape this year, but they've had an unusual amount of green browse to feed on this fall that they normally don't have.
I have seen Henbit in bloom and a few more spring plants growing. I can't remember the weather from one year to the next but I'm fairly certain I've never seen Henbit blooming in November. As far as I know I've never seen a deer eat Henbit but my point is that if it's growing and blooming there's a heap of other plants that they do eat that are growing as well.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Good point Fur, I too have noticed plenty of greenery still in the woods . Might want to turn your attention from soggy acorns to browse.

Yep with it this warm they are probably hammering honey suckle, kudzu and blackberry bushes. Sure are! And when that honeysuckle is in 700 acres of pine thicket, seeing deer can be all but impossible. I'm about ready to call in the dogs and shoot from an AIR CONDITIONED truck!

There is more green stuff in the woods on Dec 1st than I can ever remember. And our fields are taller than I have ever seen them because of this warm weather causing them to grow more than usual and so much more food available in the woods due to the warm weather. May not be good for deer hunting but the deer should be in great shape and hopefully mean more fawns next summer.
If you're gonna be stupid you better be tough.

I planted a turnip patch this year and they have been wearing it out. Trouble is, they are nocturnal. Same here. Got several good bucks on camera. Out of hundreds of pics, only 2 of them were in daylight.
