Long time lurker here, first post. The farmer that works our lease has planted winter wheat. He broadcast wheat, fertilizer and then top dressed with a clod buster (I think that is what it is called). He planted during the week of muzzleloader and this weeks rain should get it out of the ground soon.

My question is how long will the deer feed on it? I know they will like it when it first comes up but will they feed on it all winter?

Yes, they will eat it all winter. A lot of folks plant wheat in their food plots.

All year long. Sounds like you just got yourself a heck of a food plot!

It's called a Philips harrow and yes they'll hammer it all season. We missed an acorn crop in limestone county so food in our fields is golden this year.

Thanks for the replays, I was hoping they will eat it all season.
