If you know where I hunt, don't mention it because the sheriff is taking care of things.

Show up to my lease opening Sat around 2pm. Drop off my dad and son on the back stand, and drive my friend and his son to our powerline stand. As I drive up I see people laying in the grass. It is 3 kids wearing camo with guns (the guns had red tips). I tell them that they can't hunt here, and have to leave. The younger one is very respectful, gets up and says "yes sir". The other 2 older kids just lay there, and I say. You guys need to get up and leave now. I took their picture with my phone.

We get my friend & his kid settled in, then my stepson and I head over to a little side road (too grown up to drive down), to put out come corn. We pour out a bag of corn ~200yards away from the stand, and well out of sight. There is an old riding mower in the road, no motor, or blade, with a rope on it. I cut the rope off, and we leave. I notice walking back that my stepson didn't have the empty corn bag. He left it on the mower. I send him back to get it, and I hear him call my name. There were 2 more kids in the woods, they saw him and went the other way. We walked out into the woods and couldn't find them.

As we were driving out they were walking up the power lines. I tell them that they have to leave the property because we are hunting; they say okay.

My buddy said a little later he heard kids again and drove to the other side to be sure that there wasn't a house, and there were 2 kids walking up the road on the lease. He told them that they needs to leave, because we are hunting.

I think that they were playing air soft wars.

I don't know what the kids told their mom, but the next morning we had this sign on the power lines.

After the sign, we talked to the sheriff, and he said that he will talk with the people that live near the property. I emailed the timber company and let them know what happened.

I would leave a sign in her yard saying all trespassers including her kids will be prosecuted if she is not MOM enough to keep them on her property.

I'd go over after a good rain and make a mud pit of her front yard with the 4 wheeler and tell her that I just like to play there.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

That's some tacky bullshit right there. This is becoming an increasingly common occurance all over the country. These yuppies move out into our world and think they got a God given right to everybody's land. I'm sure their dad is laid up in the house sorry as hell too.

I'd throw the sign in her yard.

Need to have a scope sighting in day on the powerline. Shoot a couple hundred times to see if that stirs her up a little.

I'd imagine, you could probably toast her ass on threatening to shoot yall, if you wanted to.

End of the day, those are some low lifes, they don't respect others, and you're going to have trouble keeeping them off.

Might consider, going to the property line behind each one of the houses, and loading every single tree up with a sign.

Next Deer carcass you have would be in their yard. And did they tresspass to put the sign up? I'd try and get the parents arrested as well. How old are these kids? Like elementary school or high school? This the first time you've had problems with them?

I would also put a new sign on up and say if they really want to talk write their address on the sign and we can talk in person.

If in Alabama, we have a pretty decent harassing hunters law that I would think the parents/kids could be prosecuted under.

Is it just me or does it seem like there are more and more problems with trespassing these days? I swear I had been thinking of finding a private lease or even purchasing a small tract of land but the more I read about trespassing the more I think I'd rather not deal with the headache.

That beats all I have ever saw. Well, not quite, but it is bad.

I've seen a lot of situations like this. And while I don't like it, I tell my customers to find somewhere else to hunt. You are not going to get any enjoyment hunting around these types. And if you aren't enjoying yourself, you will soon quit hunting all together.

See if the company you are leasing from can move you to another available tract. I would if you leased from us.

Would need to see a picture before I made final decision. laugh

I can't say much. When I was a teenager I hunted everyone's land around the house and snuck in a bunch of farm ponds. laugh

Yeah but did your mom notify the land owners by big sign that you would be doing so after said land owner told you to stop?
