How has your deer sightings been compared to the average? Above Average Average Below Average Ghost town. We're there any significant changes that may have had effects on the deer? IE: property clear cut, fire, trespassers? location?
Below Average property cut last year Limestone Co

Its better to sit in a stand and think about God, then to sit in church and think about hunting.

Camera surveys reveal that overall population numbers are down over the last 5 years.
Lowndes Co.
And the responsible party is coyotes. Not excessive Doe season harvest. Not bow hunters killing lactating Does.

Ghost town New neighbors built close to our small acreage and impacted our 2 best stands. And I ain't figured out wma yet. Thought couldn't get worse than last year but it did. Need to find North Ala club, preferably Marshall or Jackson, for next year.

Much better than last several years. We really increased the size of our summer plots and added supplemental feeding. Not seeing huge rack bucks but definitely more deer. I guess it will take time.
So far I am satisfied, even with the added expenses. At least I am not sitting in a tree watching squirrels and birds all day...

Have seen about 35 deer in three hunts since last Saturday- more than normal for me. Can't explain it- even given the warm weather deer are moving, and 1/3 of those are bucks.

Until first part of November, sightings were average to above average. Went out of state hunting, come back, and deer have vanished!! Seeing very few. However, I have been limited to shooting houses mostly cause my son is with me. Seems deer are still eating acorns at our place.
