Hello. My son and I are looking to hunt there the first time ever in ?January Feb of this year.
I've talked with a few wildlife officials down there recently and they tell me the highest concentration are around zone A on the WMA. But there have been some Forrest fires recently and there might have been some shifts,
Can someone sort of clue me in to where to start to go in blind?
Thanks in advance.

If you go look for them on top of ridges mopping up on the last of the acorns. This year the acorns were hit and miss some area's had a few and others none at all. You will have just as much chance seening a hog as a deer. But don't expect much because you don't see many deer in Bankhead either. Sense bow season I have prolly seen 20 hogs and maybe 15 deer.
