Read on Facebook where a man from Guntersville was arrested at laguardia airport trying to board a plane with a loaded 380 and 3 more magazines. Maybe someone can find a link and post it

From all I know about the guy, he seems to be a nice feller. Active in several civic groups and a businessman around Marshall Co. That is if it is the same one I know.

Could it have just been a mistake? A lot of put on a firearm or pocket knife just like they do their regular clothing everyday. I carry a box cutter, pocket-size screwdriver, pocket-size measuring scale for work. I flew to Detroit a month ago for business and had to be conscientious about leaving them behind before I went to the airport.

Anybody heard from Wiley? I ain't got no business in Yankee territory so it wasn't me  AND, I pay closer attention to the anti 2nd Amendment laws than this guy did.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Does the one you know own a clothing store in Albertville? I went to school with a Thomas Whitten. Not sure it is the same guy though but the age and name are consistent with the one I went to school with.

Based on what I read and heard on the news today it sounded like he 'declared' the weapon. It was in a box as were the spare magazines and he had an additional full box of ammo. He said it used to belong to his Dad (I believe) and he was taking it back to Alabama. Bad situation for a good guy with good intentions.
