I was looking at the coat and bibs, but are they worth the money? I wanted to find a pair of wool bibs and a coat but they don't make the browning ones I had before and I can't find one that's high percentage wool, wind proof and camo in a reasonable price range. I'm fully willing to spend the money on the MT050 coat and bibs but only if I'm absolutely positive it's worth it. I'm picky and can't ever make my mind up I do like the fact that they are waterproof, one less thing to worry about when the rut hits. Any thoughts would hep thanks

I've got the coveralls. I wear them when it snows because they're GorTex. They're really warm and wind proof.

I bought the MT050 Whitetail Extreme parka/bibs set 15 or so years ago. Wore them in Canada a couple of times with the temps WAAAAAAAAY below what we'll ever see here on all day sits. One of the weeks, the high was 10F. Stayed nice and warm, and they've held up very well through occasional use each season here.

Have you tried Google?

I can't speak to that specific clothing, but every Cabelas brand article of clothing I've purchased has been top notch and well made.

I have the bibs and jacket. I hunted the late season muzzleloader season in kentucky a few years back. We had about 10 inches of snow and the temps ranged from 4 to 32 and they seemed to help. They are a buy once cry once item for sure.

I bought the whitetail extreme MT050 bibbs and jacket last year when they put them on sale for about half price. Best money i have spent. Just spent 14 days in ky and never came close to getting cold while wearing them. But I will say it has to be cold outside or you will get hot fast. After hearing bass pro may be buying cabelas I went and bought $400 plus dollars on more of their clothing because i really like their stuff. Hope this helps.

I had the MT050 7-1 parka. I sold it and bought a Heater body suit. I still have it but I then purchased the Cabelas extreme stand bibs and parka. I believe they are the warmest parka and bibs Cabelas makes. It's close but I like the extreme stuff better. BUT, they aren't waterproof. I wasn't worried with that because it's gonna be cold enough for snow when I wear it plus we don't get that much snow.

Dont know where in N Bama you are but I'm in Morgan county if you want to look at the extreme bibs and jacket to get an idea of how warm it is and what it feels like.

I have the Berber Extreme Parka and the Stand Hunter Extreme Bibs. I really like them but they are not waterproof and are extremely warm. They would be the only layer you need for most days in AL.

I'm in Jackson county Reyn. I've been looking at the 7-1 parka myself. I hunt the mountains so right now I'm having to pack a lot of clothing that I don't room for. What I'm looking for, is something warm so I don't have to pack in a lot of clothing. It's a long hard climb, and I'll sit all day during the rut. Our rut is in January, and last year I got cold even with 4 layers sitting all day. I love the cold but I don't handle it as well as others. I hate having to wear all that layering but it's constricting, bulky to pack, and inconvenient. I would just like to slip a pair of bibs and a coat on and be warm once I get in the stand and continue to be warm all day. I know it's a lot to ask, but I think it can be done.

Agreed but if Bass Pro Shops buys them out, that will be the end of that. BPS turns everything to junk.

I have the parka and pants and love them. I wouldn't pay full price for them. I bought mine half off last year. They were recently on sale for about $80 off. Quality clothes, too me, are as important as warm boots. They make the hunt.

The 7-1 parka goes on sale in a few days along with the bibs. 100$ off each one roughly. I'll probably buy them then and see how I like them. The 7-1 coat seems like a better deal that the regular Coat from what I understand because it looks like the 7-1 has a goose down vest inside of it where as the regular jacket does not. Is this correct?

Check cabelas prices online first then go to store and tell them at register, they will honor those prices. I just bought the 6 in 1 super slam elite dry plus jacket with scent lock. The store had it for 330, online was 190 so I showed them my phone and they honored the price. Also bought a target for my son, store had it for 50 online had it for 25. Just make sure you can pull it up on your phone and show them.

I dont disagree i just got lucky in that they did have the super slam jacket. The only thing i didnt like about the MT50 gear is that it is loud, i had a buddy buy some and carry with him on our Illinois trip. He said he like to have died from a heat stroke wearing it one morning when it was 27 degrees..

By the way you just cost me another $190 because i just ordered the dry plus bowhunter SST bibs that go with my jacket, they were marked down from 330 to 190 plus cabelas is giving another 10% off on their product. grin

I got the coveralls a few weeks ago, found them on sale for $207 down from $499.
They were the mossy oak pattern and they must have been closing that particular pattern out. I've not been int the rain yet but felt real good 2 mornings at 26 degrees!
