I guess I am the minority. I like bass pro over cabelas. Been to only 2 cabelas (Huntsville and one in LA), not impressed with either store.

I always considered johnny morris a crook. Years ago a reel company would introduce a new reel, months before it was ready for distribution. BassPro would sell you that reel then tell you it was back ordered. They might have your money three months before you saw anything. May not sound like much, but thousands of 100 dollar plus reels. he did it to several reels at same time.
He made money off interest. I think he was told to end this practice. If he didn't make much off interest he still operated with your money.

I just walked through the Bass Pro in Nashville today.
They had a sign that they will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 8-5 or some such.
I'm about to let folks that open on Thanksgiving know that they won't be getting any of my money. I'm tired of this crazy bullshit.
