Turkey hunting before season opens is a big problem where I live. Grown men can't stand it. I swear!

IDOT, you see what happens when you don't pin out! I know, I'll never forget to pin out again DAYUM IT MAN
If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.

I don't even need to hunt. Can I just drink beer with DW and watch this soap opera unfold in real life? This.

You folks that have problems must have some bad leadership issues and clubs without legitimate rules. Every member pays the same amount and abides by the same rules and no member is allowed to "take ownership" of a section of land.
Hell, my club gets into fights (not literally but in a good way) about signing out last and wanting to give the opportunity for others to get first pick. The answer to the question asked most: "Where ya going to hunt?" The most common answer: "Wherever you're not!" or, "You pick where you want to go and then I'll pick!"
Hunting clubs... they're not bad with good leadership and sensible rules. AND... non-greedy members. There are a lot of clubs that have good people, good rules and good times.

Last club I was in, I hunted mostly with my bow. I had a lockon that I killed several does out of. I had API steps the first 5 ft I could remove because I had a lock on stolen' well a gun hunter put a ladder stand on the tree next to the one my stand was in. I kinda thought that was crowding the area, but nothing I could do. No one hunted that area till I killed a couple of does then they fell in on top of it. There were 8 members on 2400 acres that was in about 7 pieces of land. It made me hate clubs. I always look for areas no one is hunting, but when I kill something I get company. Lie better...Hunted with folks who thought I never saw deer... if I kill one, Ive been known to change some data ...and my stand goes in and out with me...

Same here, that pretty much describes my club. Great group of guys, good leadership. Sometimes from year to year you get a not so good member but he usually just gets out himself.

This pretty much sums up my club. We formed it 11 years ago with 12 members (10 deer and 2 turkey hunters)and 1100 acres. We have slowly weeded out a few and are down to 4 deer and 2 turkey hunters. This year we added the fathers of 2 members as social members only. They dont hunt anymore, but will fish in one of the lakes in the summer. They joined for the food and fellowship. We each pay a little more but we dont have to deal with any drama.
I love my country, but don't trust my government.
