Other than all hell breaking loose, what do you see as the ramifications of this. I saw where Obama had met with the Turkish leader last week I believe. A Russian rescue helicopter that was looking for the Russian pilot has now been shot down by "US backed rebels". This may be going sideways quickly.

Turkey is a NATO ally
(not a fan of Turks)
Turkey can evoke a CH. 5...
Which means an attack on one NATO member is an attack on all...
If Turkey is under attack we (by treaty) are under attack and are obligated to engage...
I for one don't want the US involved in a Turk vs Russia battle (don't care if Putin nukes Turkey into oblivion)
This is a bad situation, made worse by Obamas lack of decisive action...
This could very well evolve into a really, really, really bad situation....

Turkey's not stupid enough to provoke Russia very much. Nothing will come of it. Turkey may get a no-fly zone along the Syrian border but they have been screaming for it for a long time and it hasn't really happened yet.

This is my fear with so many countries operating in close proximity. Stuff like this just escalates and before you know it things have gotten seriously out of hand.
