I don't deal with squirrel dogs but when we want puppies to start barking in schutzhund we always back the the dog and build drive with a leather tug or sleeve. I still back tie my shepherd to get her fired up sometimes. When they've finally had enough and bark for the first time praise is the key. Just curios if you could back tie the dog facing a tree and build drive with a squirrel hide on a rope thrown over a limb while you or a buddy jigs it up and down and when the dog barks from drive being thru the roof, praise praise and more praise. Then repeat twice a day. I don't know anything about squirrel dogs and training so don't rely on this it's just a suggestion. There's a fine line in training so don't overdo it and burn them out.

If she's treed but not barking try tieing her back and walking away. When she starts barking at you then turn around and start back to the tree. If she quits then stop and walk away again. She'll get the idea and start barking. If that won't work you can always use a garmin to see where she is and you can hunt her on posted land. Hahaha

I don't have as much experience as some but Beadle has plenty. My dog at 11 months wouldn't stay at the tree unless she could see it. She was glued to a coon in a tree early but squirrels are harder for a dog all that to say she is young and you should tie her at every tree. Tieing at the tree is pretty important in the tree dog world and you will hear it 100 times I've always heard that but I never have liked tying a dog back at the tree. I want them loose so they can follow if one bails out

11 months old is still a pup, some put it together quicker than others.

Try hunting her with another dog. Once she see's what is supposed to happen she should take off on her one and tree like she is supposed to.
