I'll try to find a link or somebody could post it but I read that bass pro shops just bought out cabela's but they won't take over until Jan 1st has anyone else heard this?
Its better to sit in a stand and think about God, then to sit in church and think about hunting.

Wish this wasn't happening. Cabelas' quality is better than BP. By a wide margin. Readhead brand clothing and boots suck. Some of my favorite hunting clothes are Redhead that are several years old. Problem is, they don't make them anymore and everything they have when I go in the store is garbage.

I've got a pair of Redhead hunting boots that probably have one more season left in them. They have been okay since I don't get to hunt a whole lot anymore. They wouldn't have lasted more than a couple of seasons under normal circumstances. I wish it was Cabela's buying Bass Pro.

This is a crying shame. Cabelas is a much better store than Bass Pro. Like everyone else said, their clothing and cold gear is a much higher quality than Bass Pro's.

I've been in 3 or 4 Bass Pro Shops but don't recall ever buying anything. I always left thinking this was like wal mart but with deer mounts.

this^^^^ We just got a new store in Huntsville and after being open for a few months it's gonna be a BPS .  I sure wouldn't have thought BPS was that strong.
